Enter to OEM home appliance business, provide design, sourching, and after sales services.2003
Forecast for the coming five years (2003-2008). By year 2005, MEI started to produce its own products. A team R&D engineers will be employed to keep in place with the development. From 2004 to 2008 the company will involve in producing computer accessories. At the same time, we will involve in design and manufacturing telecommunication and home security products too. In order to achieve the objectives, MEI is negotiating possible venture with foreign electronic manufacturing company. The venture includes skilled & technologies transfer in manufacturing consumer appliances. Products produced under the venture will be marketed as Mitsutoyo own brand in Malaysia.
As Malaysia is moving towards a developed country, we believe that local electronic industries will become more and more important to the growth of economy and simultaneously lead the country towards achieving the vision of 2020. Electronic industries is a field that has a great potential for rapid growth in the coming two decades. Malaysia government also encourages local electronic manufactures to design and develop their own products in order to cope up with the increasing demand on consumer electronics. based on the world electronic market trend for the past decade, we expect that by the end of this decade most of the consumer electronic and electrical parts will be designed and produced locally.

Mitsutoyo was awarded Enterprise 50 Award Year 2001 organized by Accenture Consultant and the Small & Medium Industries Development Corporation (SMIDEC), Malaysia.
2000
Mitsutoyo Electronic Industries expanded its business scale with ownership facilities include 70,000 square feet of factory area and 250 skilled workforces.

1996
The company concentrated 50% of its business in producing high end electronic and electrical parts for its clients, 30% of businesses on producing various computer parts for a few MMC companies based in Malaysia and 20% of its businesses on running low end products.
In accordance to our plan to channel 50% of company resources to high end technology products, the company added in three high speed vision and fully automated SMT lines. These machines enabled MEI to produce more precise and high compact model in the following years. In addition, the company also diversified its business into plastic molding and plastic blowing industries in 1996. The business volume for 1996 increased by 50% compare to previous year.
1995
A well experienced business partner was invited to take part in the company business. He had contributed to the development of MEI quality control system, quality policy and production process system. besides, a team of professional management personnel was employed to run various departments and functions of the company. Three units of high speed vision SMT machines were added to cope up with the requirement for highly precise and high speed chip mounting. In April 1995, on the trust of high quality services and on-time delivery, SMK Electronics (M) Sdn.Bhd honored MEI a contract to product their remote control. The business volume for year 1995 was twice of previous year. at the end of the year, the company had work increased its workforce to 260 persons and production facilities worth more than 3 million Ringgit Malaysia.
1994
Demand for electronic components and electronic parts continued to pick up. The high quality of Remote Control and Audio P.C.B assemblies produced by the company and our practice of on-time delivery were well known among vendors of electronic parts. In the same year we have the honor to receive the contract of producing Radio Tuner from Mitsumi Electric (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. In mid 1994, our Managing Director, Mr. Camon Ng decided to relocate the factory to a bigger plant in Tangkak. The new plant has area of 12,800 sq feet, which is almost four times bigger than the previous factory. In the last quarter of 1994, two units of SMT machines were added to provide Surface Mounting Technology service for Radio Tuner and TV Tuner. In the same period, a project of Assembling Computer Disc Drive Motor was honored by Matsushita Electronic Motor (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. By the end of 1994, the company had work forces of 212 persons and production facilities worth more than one point three million Malaysia Ringgit.
1993
The world economy pick up, the demand for electronic components and electronic parts were doubled. The demand for both Remote Control and Audio PCB assembly produced by the company were doubled. In the same year, one unit of soldering machine, one unit of manual insertion conveyor, one unit of belt conveyor and various testing equipments and zigs were added to cope with the increase demand of customers. For year 1993, the number of employee was increased to 78 persons and the factory area also increased to 2800 sq feet.
1992
MEI expanded its businesses to the field of Manual Insertion and Finished Product Assembly. In the same year, one unit of soldering machine, one unit of manual insertion conveyor and one unit of belt conveyor were added. The number of employee had increased to 38 persons. A unit of shop log in Serom III was rented to house the machineries and the increase number of employee. The company main businesses were Remote Control P.C.B assembly for Matsushita and Audio P.C.B assembly for Asahi and Thomson.
1991
Mitsutoyo Electronic Industries Sdn. Bhd. established in May 1991 by Managing Director, Mr. Camon Ng Sen Kwee. The company's initial paid-up capital was RM 32,000 and its main businesses was producing wire hardnesses and switches. The company employed 20 operators and the factory was located in a unit of shop lot in Sungai Mati. The factory area was 1400 sq feet.
