Resume Tips
- Describe relevant work experience and skills.
- List your most recent educational information.
Include your SPM, degree (A.S., B.S., B.A., etc.),
major, institution attended, minor/concentration. If you are currently in school, include your expected date of graduation.
- List any special awards or recognitions.
- Include personal contact information, including e-mail address and cell phone number.
- Resume shall be short and concise. For students, the
resume should fit on one page, unless have substantial working experience.
- The format should allow the reader to scan and find information quickly.
- Get feedback from someone with experience.
- Thoroughly proofread for typos.
- Avoid fancy or unique formats that might confuse the reader. Focus on content.
- Your career center may have more tips and style guides. The Web is also a good source of sample resumes.
Interview Tips
